Adding my voice to my sister's: I'm happy to provide this recommendation for Dave. I found his work to be clean and thorough: well thought-out from inception to completion. Dave is very easy to work with and is clearly motivated more by customer satisfaction than by ego, which is truly refreshing.
Dave handled or oversaw all of the work: from painting to electrical, plumbing, carpentry & construction, including cement work. He has a wealth of contacts and brought in a plumber to handle a long overdue (and quite stubborn) exterior patio drain issue. Although it took a while, he and the plumber stuck with it and solved the problem together. Over the course of three months, Dave supervised up to three additional people on-site at any given time. And, if ever the people didn't meet our expectations, Dave handled it quickly and brought in others who did.
When a hiccup in expectations arose with a task, we worked together to clarify the task, then Dave pivoted to achieve both the desired result and Dad's satisfaction. This included work that he subbed out, such as sliding door re-screening. When we discovered that the screening was incorrectly installed, Dave didn't hesitate to take it back and get the job done right.
Dad's home is his castle. And, as someone deeply experienced in repairs and renovation, he's a tough customer. Dave's professionalism, competence, and patience secured Dad's trust and made it possible to get through the exhaustive punch list that had been accumulating for a number of years.

Dave is solid! We had a condo turnover that needed a refresh and Dave was reasonably priced, reliable, and did great work! He was able to do everything we tossed at him (plumbing, electrical, flooring, tile, drywall, and doors). He pays attention to detail and wants to please to make sure it is right. He had creative ideas to come up with solutions that are cost effective and is very talented at his craft. I already hired him for another job!

Dave has performed a wide array of handyman tasks in our home over the last 2 years or so, and particularly, in the last few months. These activities included repair or replacement of doors, windows and locks, wallpaper removal, wall preparation and painting, repair and replacement of faucets and shower heads, removal of wall-to-wall carpeting and replacement with a wood floor, making waterproof an upstairs deck which had leaked in the past, repair of water damaged walls, making waterproof an outdoor planter which had leaked into the house, repair of settling cracks both interior and exterior, repair and restoration of fountains, repair of irrigation system among other tasks.
David has always been polite, punctual, and completely reliable. He shows up when he says he will and get things done on time. His work is always first-rate and done with a sense of pride. He is always willing to problem solve and discusses all potential alternative approaches prior to implementing them. We have been extremely happy with our interactions with Dave and with the quality of services he provides. We would recommend him to anyone as a reliable and highly competent handyman.
